Engineering Manager - Requirements

• BS in Engineering required - Mechanical or Manufacturing is preferred; MS would be great (ABET accredited is mandatory)
• 10+ years experience designing heavy equipment; food processing equipment is a plus
• Proven leadership leading a team on multiple, simultaneous, projects, from inception to end-of-life status.
• Advanced problem-solving skills with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation
• 3D CAD modeling experience; Autodesk is preferred
• PDM experience using Vault
• Experience with GD&T, FEA, and Six Sigma training

Engineering Manager - Responsibilities

• Leading, mentoring, developing, and managing a multifaceted, cross-functional engineering team
• Designing components to be manufactured via machining, sheet metal bending/rolling, welding, CNC machining, and other related processes using Autodesk Inventor CAD models and drawings
• Validating designs to assure compliance with product specifications, regulatory requirements, international standards, and best practices.
• Creating and modifying product Bills of Materials and vendor design specifications
• Leading Design and Drawing Reviews and performing tolerance analyses
• Supporting the development of project schedules and budgets
• Solving field issues by performing and documenting Root Cause Analyses and Corrective Action Plans
• Traveling to customer locations as needed to troubleshoot issues and ensure programs meet deadlines
• Help with engineering process development and plant safety procedures to ensure a safe environment.
