Job Description
A well-known upscale restaurant in South Carolina is looking for its next creative Pastry Chef responsible for creating delicious desserts and confections, designing seasonal menus, and developing new recipes for our bakery. Pastry Chef Responsibilities:
- Operating and managing the pastry section of the kitchen
- Collaborating with chefs to ensure a successful working environment
- Preparing ingredients, handling ingredients, and operating pastry equipment
- Ordering supplies, ingredients, and equipment within the restaurant's budget
- Upholding all safety and health regulations
Pastry Chef Qualifications:
- Post-secondary training at a culinary institution preferred
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of basic baking techniques and pastry-making process
- Ability to work well independently and able to coach others as needed in the kitchen
