Field Service Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Work with clients to plan and prepare for new machine installation.
  • Supervise the erection of disassembled machines in the customer's facility.
  • Inspect the installation, and if necessary, make recommendations to the customer to assure compliance with company specifications.
  • Inspect, adjust, start up, and demonstrate safe setup, operation, and maintenance.
  • Provide, under warranty and/or at customer cost, problem identification, repair, maintenance, and training services.
  • Regularly visit assigned customers to observe machine operation and safety conditions; identify key service contacts and discover customer needs for equipment, accessories, and services.
  • Maintains accurate records of service calls, travel expenses, and appropriate technical reference documentation and submits all documents within the expected time frame.
  • Provide technical support from headquarters via phone and email to distributors, customers, and other field service engineers.


Field Service Engineer Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of additional technical school education or equivalent work experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electronic systems maintenance repair is strongly preferred. 
  • Demonstrated ability to start up, demonstrate, and repair assigned products without close supervision and/or site assistance. 
  • 2-3 years experience in field repair work with industrial or manufacturing machinery (CNC) preferred
  • Successful completion of Hurco's Service Training Program.
