We are seeking a seasoned Director of Hotel Sales and Convention Services who is a strong self-starter, responsible for leading the sales team and driving revenue growth through strategic planning. Candidates must have innovative sales strategies and exceptional customer service. This role is crucial in ensuring the casino hotel's profitability and competitiveness in the market.
Director of Hotel Sales and Convention Services Salary and Benefits:
- Salary Range115,000-125,000 plus commission
- Health, Dental and Vision

Director of Hotel Sales and Convention Services Responsibilities:
- Proven track record in building client relationships through revenue generation
- Be a leader and collaborate by creating a culture with the sales team of hustle, and due diligence
- Building and developing a client portfolio through follow-through, congruency, and trust with an emphasis on being meticulous, detail-oriented and meeting all deadlines
- Maximizes the Sales process to achieve occupancy, Catering revenue and the average daily rate of the hotel.
- Assists the VP in the development and implementation of annual hotel sales and plan.
- Issues guest complementaries in accordance with the approved comp matrix
- Responsible for developing a brand presence in local market and community.
- Creates awareness of Casino Hotel in civic, social and business community events
- Ensures compliance with brand standards and marketing strategies.
- Works closely with Revenue Manager to maximize hotel rev-par.
- Maximizes catering sales via group and social markets.
- Establishes relationships with third party vendors such as Helms Briscoe, C-vent, American Express, and the PMVB.
- Seeks out and targets new customers and new sales opportunities, initiates action plan to approach and secure new business for the Company.
Director of Hotel Sales and Convention Services Requirements:
- Must be a minimum 18 years of age or older upon employment.
- Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid Pennsylvania Gaming License, as required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Two to three years of Hotel Sales experience required in a Director of Sales role managing a 3 - 5 million sales budget
- Documented experience in leading both the Sales and Convention Services roles.
- Must have a demonstrated track record of sales and catering revenue growth.
- Must be able to actively solicit, sell and book business and must be able to think outside the box.
- Proficient computer/PC skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Possesses excellent customer service, organizational, written/verbal communication & multi-tasking skills.
- Flexible to work any scheduled shifts and/or days, including weekends and holidays.
